Hand Paper

(The Paper Nudes serie is ongoing. It uses a very special paper based film called Washi W, very high contrast, low sensitivity and paper fiber texture showing through.)

It was never a conscious choice to not feature faces in this series, but with a few exceptions, the most interesting images turned out to be either those were the face was the main feature, or those where the face was either not apparent or in the shadows. With the limited dynamic range of Washi W it’s actually difficult to light both the face and the body, which is why this project focuses on specific parts of the body, mostly.
