Poires l’Après-Midi
I love wet collodion as a process (though I've never tried using it myself) and even a simple wet collodion portrait seems fantastically beautiful to me. Karoline Schneider however does something way more sophisticated and whimsical than simple portraits. There are elements of surrealism, and a deep love of her models that shine through these images. The production values of Grafolux makes this zine as compelling as a photo book, and it's a great way to delve into Schneider's visual universe. After finishing the zine, I jumped onto her website and spent another hour perusing her wonderful images. Very highly recommended.
